Healthcare professionals representing several providers from the MedQuarter Regional Medical District in Cedar Rapids are joining forces to provide first aid services at newbo evolve, a three-day festival in Cedar Rapids filled with art, music and inspiration.
The District will staff a first aid tent on the main festival grounds near 
the 16th Avenue Bridge and a first aid table at the DoubleTree by Hilton Convention Complex, where daytime programming will be held. Look for MedQuarter volunteers in the red shirts, pictured right.
“This is a great opportunity for all of the medical practices in the MedQ to work together and support this event and in doing so raise the awareness of our district to the public” said Phil Wasta, Executive Director of the MedQuarter.
Medical professionals from the four largest employers in the MedQuarter, CarePro Health Services, Mercy Medical Center, Physicians’ Clinic of Iowa and UnityPoint Health – St. Luke’s Hospital will provide care for non-emergent medical needs. Over 70 volunteer hours will be logged over the three-day festival.
“We are very fortunate to have active, engaged health care professionals here in our community” Wasta added.
