Above-ground Construction Has Begun on PCI’s Medical Pavilion II Project

MedQuarter (MedQ) Regional Medical District | August 27th, 2018

After twelve weeks of below-ground construction including pilings, footings, foundation walls and underground run-off reservoirs, the above-ground work has begun on Physicians’ Clinic of Iowa’s $28M Medical Pavilion II construction site. This first structure is a three-level, 450 space parking garage oriented north to south between 2nd & 3rd Avenue SE, scheduled for completion in December, 2018. It will eventually be connected by skywalk to the existing parking garage on 2nd Avenue to allow patients and visitors to access both pavilions without going outdoors. Contractors are simultaneously drilling the pilings for the 98,000 square foot medical building to the east of the parking garage which is scheduled for completion in late 2019 or January 2020.

The MedQuarter is keeping up-to-date on information and resources regarding the pandemic.
