Physicians’ Clinic of Iowa Extending Building Hours

MedQuarter (MedQ) Regional Medical District | May 11th, 2020

Physicians’ Clinic of Iowa (PCI) is extending building hours to better spread appointments apart in compliance with social distancing recommendations after the state of Iowa’s go-ahead to resume elective surgeries and procedures. As of today, PCI’s campus buildings are open 7 a.m.-5 p.m. Monday-Friday and all services are fully available. PCI staff will continue to screen visitors at building entrances. Some entrances will remain closed to funnel patients to the screening tables.

PCI advises patients to wear a mask to appointments, respect social distancing guidelines, wash hands frequently, stay home if sick, limit the number of caretakers coming to appointments, cover coughts and sneezes and avoid touching eyes, nose and mouth. For those who choose not to venture out, several PCI clinics are offering telemedicine appointments. Through telemedicine, patients connect with their providers by computer or mobile devices via PCI’s patient portal. For complete instructions, go to pcofiowa.com/televisit.

The MedQuarter is keeping up-to-date on information and resources regarding the pandemic.
