President and CEO Michelle Niermann has been named to the Becker’s Hospital Review 113 Great Leaders In HealthCare list.
Becker’s noted in announcing its list that strong leaders are needed in healthcare to navigate their organizations through the pandemic and digital transformation. According to Becker’s, the leaders on the list “champion innovation and have built a solid cultural foundation for success in the future.”
Becker’s shared that, “in addition to her current role, Ms. Niermann is a Past-President of both ACHE (American Collage of Healthcare Executives) of Iowa and the University of Iowa Health Management and Policy Department Alumni Board and has had the privilege of mentoring many rising healthcare administrators.”
Of the nationwide healthcare leaders named to Becker’s list, only three are in Iowa. UnityPoint Health President and CEO Clay Holdermann was also named to the Becker’s list. Click to view the full list.
Earlier this month, Niermann was named the Corridor Business Journal’s (CBJ) Most Influential leader for 2021 and just this week, was named to the CBJ’s Inaugural CBJ Corridor Leaders 250 List. Niermann has been in her current position as president and CEO since 2019 and in numerous positions at UnityPoint Health – Cedar Rapids since 1994.
