Play Therapy Applications Workshop covers a variety of key learning areas required by APT for certification including play therapy history, seminal & historically relevant theories, and skills and methods. Learners will gain the knowledge and practice needed to feel confident in their play therapy practice.
In this extended workshop, attendees will first learn all the basics of setting up their play therapy space, core play therapy interventions and techniques for both directive and non-directive approaches. Attendees will learn how to conceptualize and create treatment plans using play therapy for a variety of common treatment needs.
Engaging hands on practice of skills, conceptualization, and documentation will be used throughout this workshop to ensure learners leave feeling ready to use their knowledge!
