Hear from survivors of human trafficking about the barriers they face. You are invited to attend an event at Mercy Medical Center as part of their anti-human trafficking efforts.
This hybrid event (hosted in person and online via Zoom) from 9:00 a.m. to noon on January 24 will feature multiple survivors and advocates discussing the challenges survivors face within the healthcare industry, criminal justice system, financial industry and more.
People victimized by human trafficking face seemingly insurmountable barriers in finding freedom from this exploitation and in the restoration of their lives. Survivors of human trafficking often voice they feel misunderstood and misdiagnosed. Survivors and advocates will outline the definition, statistics and grooming process of human trafficking. This educational session intended to identify potential solutions to assist survivors with overcoming barriers, through their personal and professional lives.
Continental breakfast will be served in Mercy’s Hallagan Education Center. Register here to attend via Zoom. Continuing education credits available.
